Sensual and Feminine

I'd been meaning to shoot a soft and sensual theme for awhile and had a very definite idea of what I wanted. I already knew what I wanted the model to look like, the style of the images, the poses and the general emotion within the image. I was really happy to have the opportunity to work with Fawna on this project. Fawna was really easy to work with and got behind the concept from the get go due to excellent pre shoot communications. Editing the images from this project is still ongoing but for now here is the current album and below are two sample images.

Prints, a wonderful legacy.

I can't you encourage you enough to get images printed, especially if it's your family snapshots. There's nothing better than getting a print in your hand. For the better ones there's so many options these days with how to display them, standard frames, acrylics, canvasses and so many combination and multi aperture mounts.

Earlier this year I scanned a lot of images from my family dating back to the early 1900's. I can tell you first hand it's a wonderful legacy to leave behind. Just make sure you make a note of the date it was taken, where and who's who. After all who know what's going to happen to them if they just inhabit a hard drive or CD.

Silent Hill

It was an extremely cold day on 25th Novemember 2012 when we shot the Silent Hill themed shoot for Aleah Leighdesigner. Keith Mitchell had invited me along to our top secret derelict location. All of the models and MUA's did really well considering the temperature. The shoot was great fun, more images can be found here and a few of my favourites are below:

Dream Street Beauty Pageant

Back on 24th November I attended the Dream Street Beauty Pageant. Fortunately I wasn't a contestant (I know, I know) and was covering the event being one of the three photographers. Chloe has done amazingly well in the year or so of having set up Dream Street and it's always nice to catch up with her and the two contestants I know, Becky Bruce and Abby Hickinbotham having shot all three a few times earlier this year.

Well done to all of the girls involved. The full album is here but below is one of my favourite images from the event.

Get your blog on!

Well... I had a blog, of sorts. It was more of a photographic diary but it fell into disuse as it was a pain to update. I thought it was about time I restarted it so went back to the drawing board. Version II is integrated with my other social media platforms, my phone and my iPad. So no excuses right! :) The next few posts will be a round up of recent activities to bring us up to date.

For archive purposes the old blog is here.
